A group of about 20 dancers performed a Swing demo to residents, friends, and staff at St. Ann's Home in Irondequoit on January 21, 2012. Judging from the size of the audience, we probably had 40-50 people enjoy the performance. Some of the dancers were able to convince a few of the residents to dance with them, and some of the wheelchair-bound residents had the pleasure of being spun around to the music. We seemed to be a big hit as we heard comments like, "The music was great" and "We'd like you to come back". Next up is a Swing demo at the Legacy Senior Center at Cranberry Landing on Saturday February 11. Thanks to Gary Barber and Mary Wray for organizing.
